Our previous experience spans from exciting single player platformers over local multiplayer battle arenas to calm round-based games and we are always eager to put our own spin on established genres.
Our tools and systems help us make games more efficiently so we can focus on the big picture.
We also gained experience by developing a plugin (for Unreal Engine 4) for analyzing remote playtests as well as multiple in-editor systems that help us streamline our creation processes.
We design our games around a certain idea that we as a team are confident in. We push that idea to its extreme without overstaying its welcome. Such an idea could be anything from a gameplay mechanic to a visual gimmick, but the final gameplay experience always remains our top priority.
With that in mind, we also try to focus on one project at a time to give it our full attention. We strongly value clear communication of ideas. Be it through pretty conceptart, greyboxed level blockouts or a technical prototype, we ensure everyone involved knows where a project is headed and what we aim to achieve.
The team is fluent and proficient in Unreal Engine (4 & 5), our engine of choice. Moreover, individual members of the team also have experience in other engines such as Unity. Forbidden Folds is a certified Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox developer.
